Registered Manager - Social Services-Cardiff Council - CF10 4UW

37hrs Per Week

3-6-month contract

I am currently representing Cardiff Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3 - 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for Registered Manager based at: CF10 4UW

Key Accountabilities:

* To provide effective leadership and be accountable for the safe and efficient management of the Respite children's home.

* To ensure that the home always achieves compliance with its Statement of Purposes (SoP) and that the children and young people placed at the home receive the appropriate support to enable them to achieve positive and agreed outcomes in line with their care and support plans.

* To meet the fit persons requirements of a Registered Manager with the approval of CIW.

* To fulfil all duties and responsibilities of a Registered Manager as required by the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) 2016.

Requirements:

Essential:

* Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Registered Management) Wales & NI.

* Significant experience of working in a residential Child Care setting at a senior or management level.

* Experience of performance management frameworks.

* Experience of working in partnership with other agencies.

* Experience of financial management.

* Experience of managing Health & Safety.

* Experience of managing staff performance.

* Knowledge and understanding of the Registration and Inspection of Social care (Wales) Act 2016

* Commitment to the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy.

* Demonstrates a commitment to the application of social care values.

* Demonstrates a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

* Ability to work under pressure to meet objectives within tight timescales.

* Leadership skills

Desirable:

* Train the trainer qualification

* First Aid at Work

* HACCP Level 3

* Experience of working in other childcare settings.

* Experience of using restorative approaches.

* Experience of using Results Based Accountability.

* Experience of working with children and young people complex needs.

* Experience of working within a Signs of Safety approach.

* Knowledge of Social Services Wellbeing Act 2014

* Knowledge of other relevant legislation
