Business Development Manager - TPI Channel (Remote)

Location: Home-based, with travel to Leicester twice a month

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing utilities business within their TPI (Third Party Intermediary) division. This role focuses on building and managing strong relationships with energy brokers and sub-agents who utilise the company's pricing access and supplier network to serve their own customer base.

You'll play a key role in expanding broker partnerships, offering commercial support, and maximising sales performance through training, engagement, and proactive relationship management.

This is a fully remote role with fortnightly visits to the company's Leicester-based office.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of TPI and broker accounts, providing proactive support to grow revenue and strengthen engagement

*

Act as the primary point of contact for broker partners, supporting them with processes, pricing, and onboarding

*

Deliver product and systems training to new and existing brokers, ensuring they are set up for success

*

Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth deal progression and a high-quality partner experience

*

Monitor performance trends, identify areas of improvement, and implement tailored action plans where necessary

*

Support strategic growth initiatives by identifying new partnership opportunities and expanding broker reach

*

Provide insight and reporting to senior leadership on broker activity, risks, and commercial opportunities

Ideal Candidate

*

Demonstrated experience in a business development or account management role within the energy industry, ideally working directly with brokers or TPIs

*

Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

*

Commercially astute, with a good understanding of energy pricing, broker models, and market dynamics

*

Capable of delivering training, resolving issues efficiently, and identifying opportunities to drive sales

*

Comfortable working independently in a remote setting and managing a varied workload

*

Energetic, self-motivated, and target-oriented with a hands-on approach
