Large Global Sports marketing agency are seeking an interim Financial Accountant for 6 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading Sports Marketing agency for 6 months.

As Financial Accountant you will support the Financial Controllership team during the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP S/4HANA).

Assist production of accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting for the entities, and maintain best practice financial processes and controls.

Assist with statutory reporting for all entities, group reporting and ad-hoc tasks.

Key Responsibilities include

Financial reporting & Analysis:

• Support period end reporting activities for multiple companies, including preparation and reviewing of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist the preparation and submission of quarterly reporting packs.
• Assist the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements for the entities (May include international regions including but not limited to UK, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland).
• Participate & assist with the annual statutory audits.
• Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts and quarterly withholding tax schedules.

Management Accounting:

• Responsible for period end accounting tasks.
• Responsible for quarterly financial planning and analysis for overhead costs in the entities.
• Ad-hoc project work as required within the companies including but not limited to analysis of contracts, assisting with accounting queries and undertaking other administrative duties.

Other:

• Support the performance of monthly/quarterly internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Assist directly with S/4HANA project tasks, such as user acceptance testing, data migration checks etc.

Knowledge and Experience

Mandatory

• Proven 3yr+ experience as a Financial Accountant or other similar position
• Experience in using SAP accounting system
• Solid knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102/101) or IFRS/US GAAP
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (financial closure, reporting etc.)
• Experience producing financial statements under UK GAAP
• Confident and flexible team player with the ability to work with peers across the organization.
