Mechanical Project Manager (with Electrical Knowledge)
Location: Hybrid - Birmingham (1 day per week in office)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance

Are you a driven Mechanical Project Manager looking for your next step in a forward-thinking, growing company? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading building services contractor that delivers full mechanical packages - including plumbing, pipework, HVAC, and ducting - across a wide range of commercial, government, and retail projects.

This is a hybrid role requiring just one day a week in their Birmingham branch, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on high-profile projects with a well-established client base.

The Role:
You'll take full ownership of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to handover. While the focus is on mechanical systems, a good understanding of electrical elements is highly desirable to support coordination across trades.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the delivery of mechanical services on multiple projects

Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure work is delivered on time and within budget

*

Manage site activity, procurement schedules, and subcontractor performance

*

Ensure health & safety compliance across projects

*

Attend regular site and client meetings

*

Track project progress and report to senior management

*

Coordinate with design teams (note: you will not be required to carry out design work)

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager

*

Strong background in delivering commercial, retail or public sector projects

*

Understanding of electrical systems to aid in coordination (not essential but preferred)

*

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

*

Ambitious and motivated with a hands-on approach

*

Full UK driving licence
