We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK's most respected textiles and manufacturing businesses. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Bolton / Oldham / Burnley

Shift in place:

The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work a Continental shift - 4on-4off - 2days - 2nights. 12-hour shift - working 7am till 7pm with 277 hours holiday.

Requirements:

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on factory machines.

* Overhaul, upkeep, and repair of all plant machines

* Responding to breakdowns

* Overhaul of gearboxes, pumps and motors, Temp Controllers, Granulator's, Shredders.

* Repairs to pneumatics and hydraulics

* Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/ Fitter in a manufacturing or production environment

* We are looking for a proactive individual who can work well within a team but also to their own initiative.

* Ideally the right individual with be Apprentice trained.

* Holding a NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical engineering
