We are seeking a receptionist for our pet hospital, a multi-veterinarian practice with grooming and boarding located close to DC and Hyattsville.
You have good communication skills, a friendly personality and previous veterinary hospital experience. That's what we want: someone with a great attitude who enjoys working with pets.
Client service contact position duties will include greeting clients, managing multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, client education, relaying necessary information to the medical team, admitting and discharging patients, computer use, handling financial transactions, maintaining medical records, communicating effectively with clients and staff, invoicing clients and processing payments for services rendered.
You must have excellent customer service skills and be reliable and punctual. Veterinary knowledge is a requirement. Vet experience is preferred. Your pay will be based on your expertise. This may be a good position for a veterinary technician as the knowledge base is the same.
We are a drug-free workplace.
Hours will vary but can include mornings, evenings and some Saturdays on a rotating schedule. No overnight hours, and we are closed for six major holidays.
