Join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and contribute to our commitment to providing high-quality education. This role offers a varied schedule, working with different year groups, and is ideal for someone who is flexible and enjoys a dynamic working environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality PPA cover across multiple year groups including Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, and Year 6.
  • Provide targeted interventions and additional support for pupils as directed by the class teacher or SENCO.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons and interventions.
  • Support the school’s vision for raising attainment and progress among students.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure continuity and effectiveness of learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Strong classroom management skills, capable of adapting to different year groups and subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for working effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing schedules and needs within the school.

  • Planning time will be allocated as part of the role to ensure preparedness and effectiveness in delivering educational support.
  • Flexibility may be required as hours and responsibilities could change based on the school's needs.
