Front-End Developer
Hybrid (Home-working with occasional meetings in Blackburn office)
£35,000-£40,000

There are so many reasons why fast-fashion just isn't sustainable anymore.
Plastic fibres are polluting the oceans, the wastewater volumes are phenomenal, toxic dyes are poisoning the environment and workers, and the exploitation of underpaid workers if fast coming to light.
Fast fashion is big business, and while the environmental costs are rising, experts say there is another way: a circular economy for textiles aka thrifting!

Who are we?
We are a re-commerce platform whose mission is to make sustainable fashion choices more affordable, because everyone deserves outfits they love that don't cost the Earth, literally.

What's the role?
We are looking for a Front-end Developer who will be reporting to the CTO, and be responsible for developing and then implementing UX and performance improvements. You will be responsible for maintenance and bug-fixing of our site and code, building on existing technologies on the site.
Working with the wider team, designers and strategists you'll be implementing new ideas, split-tests, landing pages and larger scale site improvements as well as front-end projects that fall outside of the website.
The fast-paced nature of the job means that a designers input is not always on-hand, creative initiative is therefore a must as you must be able to take visuals from a designer and turn them into high quality code as well as be able to work with existing elements to create and improve on existing areas of the site.

Who do I need to be?
Someone with at least of 2 years of front-end development experience (HTML, Javascript, CSS). You will be using Shopify, so expertise in this will also be required.
We're a Scale-up, with a fairly small team, so you'll be supported and coached, but will need to be independent and autonomous at times!
You will also need to be able to access the office in Blackburn occasionally for meetings.
You also get discount and first dibs on our fits so you'll be working in (sustainable) style!
