Rapid-Personnel are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to work for a world-class designer, builder, and maintainer of high-speed workboats for defence and security sectors across the globe. The role with be a mixture of working on new build vessels or contributing to the busy service department. The opportunity will ideally suit a candidate with prior experience with marine project builds, although other sector experience can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out electrical fitting, maintenance, and assembly on a variety of marine craft.

* Work within our new build or repair/maintenance environments.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams.

* Assist with fault-finding and collaborate with the design team to resolve issues.

* Lead by example, promoting cleanliness, quality, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Experience

* Time-served or apprentice-trained Electrical Fitter (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

* Experience in marine craft, engines, and propulsion systems preferred.

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and in a team.

* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

* A proactive mindset and commitment to high standards.

* The role would suit somebody with experience of general fit out and electrical wiring on a variety of craft from commercial and military markets. Stripping, overhauling and assembling specialist equipment with experience of fault finding and problem solving.

* Knowledge of how to work through electrical problems with the design team.

* Eligibility for a DBS Security Check, due to the types of projects worked on.

Working Hours - Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30 (40 hours/week)
