Electronic Assembly Technician

Cumbernauld

Salary: Circa £32,000

Hours: 37 per week (rotating shift)

We are looking for a skilled electronics technician to join our team in Cumbernauld. If you enjoy problem solving, hands -on work, and want to grow your career in electronics, this role is for you!

What you'll do:

Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic products
Use diagnostics tools (multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering tools).
Carry out functional, operational and environmental testing.
Analysing and interpreting test data to support repairs
Reading and working from schematic drawings
Preparing accurate written reports on test results and repair activities.What we're looking for:

HNC/HND in electronic engineering (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of electronics principles and repair techniques.
Hands on experience with diagnostics Equipment
knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.
Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill etc.
Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use E-mail and calendars in Outlook.
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, read schematics. Rotating shifts:

2 weeks on Dayshift - Mon-Thurs 7am-3:30pm, Fri. 7:00pm-13:30pm
2 weeks on PM Shift - Mon-Thurs 3pm-11pm, Fri. 1pm-8pm
