Senior Internal Sales/ Key Account Manager - Fasteners, Components role with prospects to management with a worldwide industrial fasteners, components and consumables manufacturer and supplier.

BASIC SALARY: £32,000- £45,000 basic

BENEFITS: Company, Group Bonus worth 10-12% of basic annually/ Contributory Pension Scheme/, 23 days holidays plus stats rising to 25 with service.
(There could be potential for a company or car allowance in time as the role develops)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Internal Sales/ Key Account Manager- Fasteners, Components to OEMs

A senior internal sales/ key account manager role, with some, and possibly increasing, field visitation to customers as the role develops.

You will be responsible for managing, developing and growing between ten and fifteen key accounts worth in total circa £1m per annum.
Account sizes range from £50k- £100k bracket up to major accounts worth £250k- £500k per annum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Internal Sales/ Key Account Manager- Fasteners, Components to OEMs

The role will involve everything from general ongoing liaison to relationship and rapport building enabling you to take a proactive approach to growing customers  with a view to providing them with as big a ticket solution as possible and contracted/ listed business.
Whilst admin and other smaller issues are part of the role, there is a customer service team to deal with this. You will be spending more time and energy on building relationshisp with customers and growing sales with them.
You will be taking total ownership of your customers, using analysis of their needs and proactively finding products and solutions for them.
There could be some new business in time, but most of the extra revenue/ sales generated by this person will come from increasing spend from existing customers and networking through them.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:  Internal Sales/ Key Account Manager- Fasteners, Components to OEMs

To be considered for this potentially rewarding in terms of career progression you will need experience and a proven track record of success in sales or account management, preferably working for a manufacturer or distributor of volume/ C-class components- this could be field or office based.
You could come from related component backgrounds like rubber, bearings etc.
You will be able to demonstrate the experience and ability to proactively manage and develop accounts in the industrial OEM and related markets, by building relationships with a range of decision makers at customers, mainly procurement, and providing revenue enhancing solutions to them.

Established in the UK for over 30 years they have grown organically and by acquisition to over 70 staff, a £20m annual turnover and a sales/ business development team of 20 including BDMs  internal account managers and customer service.  They have grown organically and via acquisition.
They a big company with a "family"and entrepreneurial feel resulting in stability and low staff turnover enabling them to keep a lot of technical and commercial expertise in-house, and a consistent focus on delivering value to their clients

Very good in an organically growing and acquisitive group. More specifically the potential to manage the internal/ key account management team in time
