We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant/ Semi-Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in accounting practice, possessing strong bookkeeping skills and proficiency in QuickBooks. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including management accounts and VAT returns and preparing draft accounts for clients.
Day-to-day of the role: - Perform bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks and VT Transaction (training provided for VT if needed).
- Prepare and manage management accounts.
- File VAT returns accurately and timely.
- Prepare draft accounts up to year-end for managers review.
- Work closely with the team to ensure all financial processes are followed correctly.
- Report directly to the manager, and collaborate effectively within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an accounting practice.
- Strong bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance and Profit & Loss.
- Proficient in QuickBooks; familiarity with VT Transaction is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and CIS recording.
- Capable of filing VAT returns and preparing draft accounts(not essential)
- IT skills in VT Transaction, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Word.
