We’re searching for a Director of Sales & Marketing who is ready to make an impact and play a pivotal role in Manchester’s most anticipated hotel launch in 2026. As Director of Sales and Marketing to lead all sales and marketing activity in a 401 key hotel opening at the heart of Manchester’s Etihad Campus, home to Manchester City Football Club.

This brand-new 401-key hotel is set to be a game-changer in hospitality, seamlessly integrating with one of the most prestigious entertainment and sporting destinations globally.

The next evolution of the Etihad Campus will see it become a thriving sports and entertainment district, featuring state-of-the-art training facilities, a world class 60,000 seater stadium, and vibrant leisure spaces including the Co-op Live arena. It will become a world-class hub for elite sport, music, and entertainment, attracting visitors from around the world.

The new hotel will be at the centre of this dynamic environment, providing an exceptional place for guests, teams, and fans to stay and experience everything the campus has to offer.

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales and Marketing to work closely with the General Manager, building a pre-opening strategy from the ground up, and playing a key role in how the hotel connects with the wider campus experience and external Food & Beverage partners.

It is essential that there are seamless links with the hotel with the wider Etihad Campus and ensuring a cohesive guest journey that integrates the dynamic sports, entertainment, and hospitality experience.

  • Has experience in a similar role within lifestyle or upscale hotels
  • Brings insight, accuracy, and commercial flair to every decision
  • Has led or contributed to a hotel pre-opening (or is ready for the challenge)
  • Understands how to drive performance through people and systems
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments where collaboration is key

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll also lead and develop your own sales team — with support from central and brand partners. You’ll help shape our launch, embed a performance-driven culture, and ensure The Medlock Hotel hits the ground running.
