Our client is a fast-paced business in the local area and they have a modern, forward-thinking approach that mixes well with their established position in their sector.
They are currently looking to add to their dynamic finance team and bring on board someone with excellent business-partnering skills and a keen work ethic.
The duties will be varied and engaging with many areas of the business they will include;
Providing commercial support and insight to the business
Building models for tenders and plans and producing information that will enable evaluations and scenario modelling for commercial plans and proposals
Providing insightful analysis and information that will enable successful promotional strategies
Assisting with analysis of forecast accuracy
Assisting with pricing corridors and highlight risks
Liaising with Account Managers and providing insightful advice and support based on meaningful information
The successful candidate will ideally be qualified but those who are studying towards an accounting qualification will be considered if they have the right experience.
Proven exposure to a commercially focussed finance role is essential for the success of this position as are excellent analytical skills and advanced IT knowledge, notably in Excel or other reporting software.
As well as having the technical ability a background working in the FMCG or retail sectors would be a distinct advantage because this position is not for the faint-hearted and those who are used to a steady role.
