Company: SAUTER AUTOMATION LIMITED

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Introduction

With a history spanning more than 100 years, the SAUTER Group is a worldwide market-leading specialist in developing, manufacturing, and delivering Building Management Systems (BMS) for large commercial and residential properties.

In addition to the delivery of BMS Solutions, our nationwide Service Operation provides ongoing support through routine PPMs, Callouts and additional improvement works.

As we continue to expand our operation, we have now a vacancy for a London / Southern based Service Engineer (BMS) to join the Service Team.

In this role you will become experienced in the full range of SAUTER BMS products and will work closely with end clients and FM providers to ensure the installed BMS is providing optimal performance.

Alongside planned preventative maintenance visits, you will be required to carry out reactive callouts to identify and resolve specific issues and problems that may impacting the BMS. As part of this activity, you will be required to provide detail documentation recording the actions completed and capturing any recommendations or next steps.

Regular communication with the Service Operations Manager and Planning Team will be essential to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the services.

To meet customer needs, flexibility is essential in this role, including travel and the delivery of overtime and occasional out-of-hours work.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing SAUTER Building Management Systems across our client sites and establishing long term relationships with our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

* Conducting routine day-to-day tasks, including scheduled and unscheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).

* Performing service, maintenance, calibration, and fault diagnosis on HVAC-related equipment, typically (but not exclusively) SAUTER products.

* Advising on equipment replacements, executing repairs, and installing replacement parts as needed.

* Utilising PC-based tools for email communication, reporting, and operating SAUTER software programs.

* Acting as SAUTER's primary on-site representative, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.

* Demonstrating punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness, and flexibility to adapt to varying work demands and schedules.

What we are looking for in an individual:

* Essential Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., National Certificate or equivalent).

* Experience: Ideally a level of knowledge in working with Building Management Systems, although this is not essential as training will be given.

* Driving License: Full UK Driving License.

* Relationship Building: Ability to forge effective connections with internal teams and external stakeholders.

* Communication Skills: Confidence in delivering clear, professional communication to clients, colleagues, and office staff, with awareness of your impact on others.

* Adaptability: Openness to learning new technologies and embracing innovative ideas.

* Teamwork: Commitment to knowledge sharing and collaborative working.

* Problem Solving: Initiative to tackle challenges with practical, efficient solutions.

This role offers an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of the SAUTER BMS and the chance for an ambitious individual to grow within a supportive team that values technical excellence, mutual support, and a positive attitude
