Description

• Concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of company products.
• Support all aspects of product configuration.
• Use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) programmes and supporting systems (data management systems).
• Designing to meet exacting customer requirements and industry standards.
• Technical presentations to customers.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders including team members, chief engineers, programme management, manufacturing and other company sites.
• Working closely with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances on products.
• Liaise with other sites to assist with the offload of packages of work.
• Mentoring/ coaching of junior team members.

Profile

A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:

• Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
• Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the Aerospace industry
• Fully conversant with traditional and computerised design and analysis methods
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
• Experience of CAD (CATIA V5 preferred, but training will be provided)
