Service Care Solutions are looking for an End User Computing Engineer to work on a Remote basis for a Government entity in Merseyside.

The role is to manage a Office 365 product suite, ensuring that products remain available, performant to SLAs/OLAs and relevant to business requirements. This role will monitor all products in the suite, investigating incidents, resolving problems, and developing and applying fixes and changes. The role will deliver upgrades to products, develop new functionality and seek to continuously improve the products to support the organisation in better ways.

Key Responsibilities

* Deputise for the Lead Application Operations Engineer
* Lead and manage the Application Operations (Office 365) team responsible, for the administration, upgrading, deployment, management and use of all O365 products
* Plan, budget and account for the Application Operations (O365) Team's work
* Engage with senior stakeholders to promote opportunities with using the O365 product suite.
* Raise the digital literacy of all colleagues, demonstrating how the products can be used and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of working practices
* Continuously monitor Office 365 applications, ensuring applications remain available, performant to SLAs/OLAs, and delivering a good user and customer experience
* Lead the proactive identification and resolutions of O365 issues before they impact the user/customer
* Lead the delivery of Incident Management (Corrective Maintenance), diagnosing the root causes of incidents, developing work arounds and fixes, to return O365 applications and users to an operational condition
* Lead the delivery of Problem Management (Preventative Maintenance), diagnosing root causes of problems, prioritising maintenance activity and developing fixes
* Lead the delivery of Change Management (Adaptive and Perfective Maintenance), continuously seeking to improve an O365 application, promoting unused functionality and working with users to develop new ways of working
* Plan, implement and monitor upgrades and patches to O365 applications, coordinating change activity, engaging with users and ensuring that upgrades are understood and appropriate.
* Document all O365 applications, maintaining the accuracy of documentation to reflect changes and fixes, ensuring that code is understandable and structured to ease root cause analysis
* Maintain a secure configuration management database with an accurate record of O365 application assets.
* Lead by example the maintenance of the highest standards of user and customer focus, ensuring that services are delivery to user/customer satisfaction and endeavour to routinely communicate with users/customers to promote, confidence that incidents and problems are being tackled.
* Lead the delivery of user administration, database administration and application administration to O365 applications
* Be responsible for the security of O365 applications, preventing unauthorised access, unauthorised data exchange and data-loss

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:
Experience of or working towards ITIL v4 Foundation
* Experience of leading engineering teams
* Experience of scripting languages
* Experience of, or willingness to learn Microsoft Azure
* Excellent oral and written communications
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
