We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming school in Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and physical needs
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) desirable
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
