About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young minds and making a real difference in students' lives.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. You will play a key role in developing students' understanding and love of Science while contributing to the broader life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Science curriculum.

*

Teach Science to students of all ages and abilities.

*

Monitor student progress and use data to inform teaching and learning.

*

Address underachievement through targeted teaching strategies.

*

Actively support extra-curricular Science activities.

*

Create a purposeful and positive learning environment in the Science classroom.

*

Work collaboratively with the Science department and the wider school staff.

*

Take responsibility for marking, assessment, and reporting of student progress.

*

Uphold and promote the school's values and policies.

Person Specification

Essential:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

*

A degree in a Science-related subject.

*

Ability to teach Science to at least GCSE level; A-level desirable.

*

Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.

*

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

*

Ability to inspire and engage students through innovative Science teaching.

Desirable:

*

Experience teaching BTEC Applied Science or T Level Healthcare Science.

*

Experience as a Tutor and involvement in pastoral work.
