Business Support Administrator - Children in Care Team
Start: ASAP (May/June 2024)
Duration: 3 months initially, likely extensions
Rate: £14.69 per hour, umbrella Inside IR35
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid, initial induction period will be onsite
Location: Leicestershire
Our client is seeking a Business Support Administrator to join their Children in Care Team. You will provide efficient and effective clerical, typing and database support to Children and Family Services, and be a valuable point of contact for members of the public, staff, elected members and partnership agencies.

Responsibilities:
- Create processes for digitally contacting 21 - 25 year olds
- Ensure all contact with individuals is recorded on Mosaic via typing up a case note on our in-house database (training will be given)
- Support with the development of a newsletter
- Support with the admin requirements of SYPAC (Supporting Young People After Care) and After Care Council
- There may be some minuting, but it would be occasional
- Accurately enter data onto database systems, maintain a log of data entry and to make best use of database system processes for qualitative entry
- Accurately type a range of reports, general correspondence and a variety of other records and documents
- Maintain appointment diaries, arrange meetings and other appointments, book rooms and maintain filing systems
- Deal with incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and emails, file, photocopy, shred and to undertake a range of other clerical tasks
Requirements:
- NVQ 2 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy (GCSE’s)
- Training in the use of ICT applications - Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access etc.
- Experience of recent clerical, typing and database experience in an office environment
- Experience of numeracy, literacy and excel skills with other IT skills
- Experience of using a range of software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Production of word-processed reports and correspondence
- Good level of verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
