HR Manager - Full-Time, Permanent - Cambridge, UK Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, innovative environment? We are seeking a proactive and skilled HR Manager to join our team in Cambridge.
About the Role As HR Manager, you will lead and deliver HR operations across the business, ensuring a professional, efficient, and positive workplace culture. This office-based role combines people management, compliance, and employee support, working closely with leadership to drive engagement and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources Management

Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters

Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management, and offboarding

Maintain and update HR policies in line with UK employment law

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and internal policies

Coordinate health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and office policies

Advise managers on employee relations, absence, conduct, and performance issues

Manage sickness, absence tracking, and holiday records

Oversee training, development, and appraisal processes

Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives

Administer employee benefits, pensions, and enrolment processes

Maintain accurate personnel records and HR systems
Skills & Experience Essential

Proven experience in an HR Generalist or HR Management role

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Confident communicator, able to handle sensitive matters discreetly

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Familiarity with HRIS systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable

CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above) or working towards

Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment
