Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker with a Level 6 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification? We’re looking for a dedicated College-Based Community Social Worker to join a supportive and inclusive team in Harrow, working directly with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a further education (FE) setting.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Providing trauma-informed, person-centred support to Deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Advocating for learners’ academic, emotional, and social wellbeing within the college community
- Collaborating with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external agencies to create holistic support plans
- Managing a caseload of students and maintaining accurate, confidential records
- Supporting students with transitions, safeguarding, and access to appropriate services
- Promoting inclusion, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity across the college
What You’ll Need:- Level 6 BSL qualification (essential)
- Experience supporting Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals, ideally in an educational or youth setting
- Strong communication, advocacy, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary college environment
