Role | Maintenance Manager Areas | Planned Maintenance, Repairs, Site Operations, Contractor Management Tech | Mechanical & Electrical Systems, Welding, Plant Equipment Based | Kent Remote | On-site Offer | £40,000 - £50,000 Hi Our client is looking for a hands on Maintenance Manager to take ownership of all site maintenance, ensuring equipment, plant and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. This is a key role supporting day to day operations, continuous improvement and compliance across the site. As a Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the site maintenance programme
- Manage engineering stock, including spare parts, tools and consumables
- Order parts and materials as required to minimise downtime
- Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns in line with operational needs
- Organise and manage contractors for repairs, servicing and compliance activities
- Attend and respond to call outs when required
- Support research and development of new plant and equipment
- Ensure all monitoring, testing and compliance requirements are met in line with site permits
- Coordinate waste removal and general site requirements
- Support wider site operations as needed
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in maintenance within an industrial or plant environment
- Experience with shredder repairs and refurbishment, including cutter replacement
- Ability to service and maintain forklift trucks
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
- Welding experience and ability to carry out repairs
- Experience maintaining roller shutter doors and general site equipment
- Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance schedules
- Hands on, proactive and solutions focused approach
