Assistant AccountantNigel Wright are currently supporting a Seaham based business with their Assistant Accountant requirement. This role is a 3 month contract with a potential permanent opportunity. The RoleAs Assistant Accountant, you'll be responsible for: 

• Support accurate AP/AR processing and ensure timely posting of transactions.
• Prepare key balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end by posting journals and maintaining ledger accuracy.
• Contribute to producing management accounts and variance analysis.
• Act as the link between transactional finance and management accounts, resolving issues quickly.
• Support process improvements, audits, and ad-hoc financial reporting.

The CandidateTo be successful in this role, you'll have: 

• Experience with month end responsibilities 
• Background in finance assistant/accounts assistant role
• Ideally working towards finance qualification
• Available immediately
