As the Windows System Delivery Manager, you will be part of MHR's high performing Cloud Services Team. You will provide technical leadership and management across an extensive estate consisting of Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Dell and other Enterprise technologies.

You will lead a team of skilled professionals, driving efficiency, innovation, and reliability in our Windows environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our infrastructure strategy and ensuring seamless operations to support our hosted services that are utilised by over 3 million users across the UK.

Key elements of this role include: 

  • Operational delivery and management of the MHR Windows estate and associated systems

  • Lead and manage a team of technical system engineers.

  • Develop strategies to optimise system performance, reliability and security.

  • Oversee the deployment of updates, patches, and enhancements to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and related technologies.

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure).

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration management, and system administration tasks.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience of SAP Business Objects and Data Services advantageous

  • Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies, including switches and protocols.

  • Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls for network security and access control desirable.

  • Experience configuring and managing F5 load balancers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

  • Understanding of enterprise storage systems over Fibre Channel advantageous.
