Maintenance Surveyor - Kent

I am seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to oversee pre- / post-inspections and reports for repairs, void works, and cyclical maintenance across the Kent region.

This is a contract role.
Initial contract period: 6 months
Renewal: Yes
The rate is: £35.22 p/h
Location: Based in or close to TN postcodes.
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic inspections, surveys, and technical reports for repairs, disrepair works, voids, and adaptations.
Working closely with customers, leaseholders, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery, minimal defects, and customer satisfaction.
Manage budgets up to £10m, ensure works are completed on time, and comply with relevant regulations.
Manage insurance claims, property inspections, and liaise with loss adjusters.
Oversee the quality control during the handover of new developments.
Handle legal disrepair claims and Environmental Health Orders.
Coordinate works with internal teams, contractors, and external subcontractors.
Manage void properties to reduce rental loss and ensure properties meet lettable standards.
Promote health and safety compliance and ensure risk assessments are in place.Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Diploma in Surveying, Property, and Maintenance (Level 3)
Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. RICS or CIOB
Knowledge of social housing sector regulations
Experience in building construction, health & safety, and asset management
Financial management experience in repairs and contractor managementDesirable:

Experience working in repairs and maintenance within a housing association or local authority
