Flippo Construction Company, Inc. is looking for experienced Gas Pipelayers and Foremen to join our fast-paced, hands-on, employee-owned construction company. The pipelayer applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Pipelayer for underground, wet and/or dry utilities. The applicants for the Gas Foreman should have a minimum of one (1) year experience as well as a OQ certification working on Washington Gas work. The applicants must be self-motivated, dependable, and have reliable transportation as this position services Maryland, DC, and Virginia Metropolitan area. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to take/pass a new hire drug screen.
Primary responsibilities for gas pipelayer’s include the ability to read and understand blueprints; ensure the job is equipment with appropriate materials, tools, and equipment daily; and visually check for utilities to ensure properly marked and defined prior to working.
Primary responsibilities for the Gas Foreman include supervising crews; striving for maximum production; coordinating job requirements; maintaining a safe, positive working environment; identifying issues/problems and addressing them accordingly; and assisting the Superintendent as needed.
