Are you a versatile developer who enjoys variety and solving real business challenges?We're looking for a Software Developer who can bring technical expertise and creativity to a busy IT team. You'll play a key role in shaping and supporting applications, databases, and systems that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

This isn't a narrow coding role you'll work across multiple projects, using different technologies depending on the challenge at hand. If you like problem solving, collaborating with colleagues, and seeing your solutions make a real impact, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyse existing systems and suggest practical improvements

* Work closely with analysts, designers, and business users to create tailored solutions

* Write clean, efficient code and produce clear technical specifications

* Test and implement systems in real-world environments

* Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance

* Create user guides and deliver training when required

Key Requirements:

* Strong SQL skills, ideally including SSRS, SQL Server 2016, and SQL Integration Service

* Proficiency with MS Access, MS Excel (inc. VBA), and Office automation

* Experience with Visual Studio (.NET, ASP.NET, C#)

* Knowledge of Windows Server environments (2008, 2012, 2016) and IIS

* Familiarity with web portals (HTTPS)

* Background in IT project delivery and multi-project environments

* Bonus: exposure to AI-based solutions in a technical or scientific setting

Qualifications:

* A relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience

* MPPV clearance (Client will fund)
