Registered Manager – Fostering Service

Our client is a growing, child-centred independent fostering agency based in Leeds. They are now seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead their fostering service, oversee operational delivery, and help us continue providing safe, high-quality placements for children across Yorkshire.

About the Role
As our Registered Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the agency, ensuring excellent, compliant service delivery in line with Fostering Regulations 2011/13 and National Minimum Standards.
- Provide strong leadership to social workers, support staff and independent workers, including supervision, development and performance management.
- Oversee recruitment, assessments (Form F), supervision, and annual reviews of foster carers.
- Maintain and develop relationships with Local Authorities, partners, and the fostering panel.
- Act as the agency’s Lead Safeguarding Officer and Complaints Officer.
- Ensure agency policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant.
- Take responsibility for Ofsted reporting, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement.
- Manage panel coordination, including paperwork, communication and annual panel appraisals.
- Contribute to training delivery for carers, staff and professionals.
- Participate in the on-call rota as part of the social work team.
- Looking to grow the Fostering Service – has a recruiter identifying applicants that want to be foster carers
- Currently have 11 families and more in the pipeline
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified social worker (DipSW / CQSW / BA / MA in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant fostering or children’s services management experience.
- Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A passion for building positive relationships and achieving the best outcomes for children.
