Band 6 Specialist Mental Health Dietitian - Callington Road Hospital

Band 5 / 6 Mental Health Dietitian (depending on experience)

Part-time - 3.5 days per week Temporary - 10 months

We are excited to be recruiting to a Band 6 Mental Health Dietitian in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). You will get the opportunity to work with Adults of Working Age (AOWA) with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, binge eating disorders, eating disorders not otherwise specified, Older Adults with Dementia.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative Dietitian with excellent communication skills and an interest in mental health.

Working with both inpatients and outpatients you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in a variety of areas including, nutrition support, diabetes, weight management and behavioural change.

You will work alongside our highly experienced multidisciplinary team at Callington Road Hospital in Bristol, whilst also receiving support from the Nutrition and Dietetics team based at the hospital and our trust wide highly specialist Dietitians. You will also provide cover at our Southmead and Bath sites when needed.

You will be supported by regular supervision meetings. We actively encourage CPD and have good links with other Nutrition and Dietetic departments throughout the southwest.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months experience as a Dietitian in an acute setting.

A BSc honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a Science BSc with a post graduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics is essential. All applicants should be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
