Fabric Technician Location: Peterborough (PE1) Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a busy facilities management contract based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabric maintenance and painting & decorating experience, working within a commercial environment.

The role: You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring the building is kept to a high standard and remains safe and operational at all times.Key duties include:

• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks
• Carrying out reactive fabric repairs
• Inspecting and repairing floors, walls, doors, windows and associated fittings
• Painting and decorating works across the site as required
• Minor repairs to freestanding and fitted furniture
• Assisting engineering staff with general maintenance tasks
• Maintaining accurate maintenance, health & safety and quality records
• Managing tools, equipment and consumable stock
• Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Contract Manager or Facilities Supervisor

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Fabric Technician
• Strong all-round fabric maintenance skillset
• Good knowledge of painting techniques and methods
• Plastering experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
