SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR
Hours: Part-time Monday to Friday 12noon - 4pm
Pay: From £13.68 an hour
Location: Morpeth
Temporary role to start as soon as possible. This role has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a School Administrator to support a school in Morpeth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support
- Data entry
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence - phone and email
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases
- Handle routine clerical tasks such as photocopying and filing,
- Diary management and scheduling of appointments
- Distribution of communication, newsletters and notices to parents as directed
- Assist in the organisation of events, trips and activities
- First day absence calls and preparation of attendance reports.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
Desired experience:
- Proven experience in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with school-specific software (e.g., M.I.S / Bromcom)
- A strong understanding of Safeguarding within a school setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a busy school environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management software
