Day-to-day of the role: - Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, workstations, and other kitchen equipment.
- Assist with the preparation of meal ingredients, which may include washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
- Remove waste and garbage from the kitchen and dispose of it properly.
- Handle, sort, and store all clean dishes, glassware, and other equipment appropriately.
- Assist with the unloading and organising of delivered food supplies.
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the head chef or manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work efficiently and keep calm, under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
