Title: Children’s Social Worker – Fostering Team Knowsley Borough CouncilContract: £39.15 per hour (UMB) £29.77 PAYE| 36 hours per week | 3-month initial contractWorking style: Hybrid working – 3 days office / 2 days homeWe are working on behalf of Knowsley Borough Council an an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Fostering Service.The Role This position sits within the Fostering Team and will focus primarily on undertaking a range of fostering assessments. The successful candidate will be confident managing assessment work autonomously and producing high-quality, analytical reports. Key responsibilities include:

• Completing Connected Carer Assessments (Form K)
• Undertaking Mainstream Fostering Assessments (Form F)
• Carrying out Viability Assessments
• Completing Regulation 24 Assessments
• Conducting Initial Visits
• Preparing detailed, evidence-based assessment reports for panel

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years post-qualifying permanent experience within Children’s Services in a Local Authority
• Significant experience within a Fostering Service
• Strong assessment and report writing skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
• SWE registration
