About the Role

A well-established Building Services consultancy based in Wigan is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 3 years' experience in mechanical building services who's looking to take their career to the next level.

Working on a broad range of commercial, residential, education, and industrial projects, you'll be supported by senior engineers and given real responsibility across the full project lifecycle-from concept through to delivery.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and coordination of mechanical building services

Produce drawings, specifications, and schedules for HVAC and mechanical systems

Attend client meetings, carry out site surveys, and monitor project progress

Support the delivery of multiple projects while learning from senior staff

Collaborate with internal MEP engineers and external stakeholders

Work on project from Feasibility and Surveys through to Detailed Design phases

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical building services design

HNC/HND qualified or working towards a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

Experience with AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and knowledge of Revit/BIM processes

Familiar with design across all RIBA stages

Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Must be able to work from the Wigan office, Monday to Friday
