Assistant HR Manager - Legal

Oakleaf Partnership are pleased to be working with a leading, global law firm based in the City. They are looking to bring on board an Assistant HR Manager on a 12 month FTC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Working with the Business Leaders and assisting them in achieving their strategic objectives and delivering operational targets

Raising the profile of the firm and extending the credbility of the HR Business Partner service

Developing an understanding of the business environment in order to provide appropriate advice and align people strategy with business strategy

Providing support and advice to the Senior HR Manager and advising partners on ER issues

Assisting with resource planning and having a full understanding of the firm's policies and processes

Providing advice and support on a range of HR issues

Liaising with partners regarding the secondment of legal staff to and from the London office

Managing special projects as required

The successful candidate will be/have:

A diplomatic but firm manner with good powers of persuasion

Excellent communication skills both written and oral and a willingness to listen

A 'can-do' attitude and resilient character, with the ability to manage expectations and influence change

Ability to coach senior individuals to ensure successful outcomes

Attention to detail but ability to see the bigger picture and ability to build effective relationships with a sophisticated client group.

A graduate with several years' HR experience gained in a professional services environment (ideally law firm experience)

Ideally CIPD qualified
