Job Title: Forklift / Yard Operative

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift / Yard Operative to join a team based out in Rochester.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift counterbalance efficiently and safely, adhering to all organisational and legal health and safety guidelines.
Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles or storage areas, ensuring secure stacking and storage.
Manage inventory by organising and maintaining the yard and warehouse areas.
Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the forklift, reporting any faults or issues to the supervisor.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and workflow.
Assist with manual handling tasks and general yard duties as required.

Skills and Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Counterbalance license with proven experience.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse/yard environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory management and documentation.

This will be a temporary position but does have the potential for more full time work. The working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Due to company location own transport is preferred.
