We are working alongside a well-established Secondary School based in Islington who are looking for a Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer to join their team. Within this role, you will be there to support, listen and motivate students day to day to positively impact their social and educational development.

This role is perfect for graduates of Psychology or similar degrees who want to gain exceptional experience to work towards their prospects such as being a Therapist, Psychologist, Youth Support Worker, School Pastoral Lead etc.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer role/school details;

  • Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer
  • Leasing with Class Teachers, SENCO, on-site Therapists etc regarding student performance
  • Working closely alongside students in KS3, KS4 &KS5
  • Analysing student behaviour action plans to create and implement improvement plans for their social and academic development
  • Supporting students with varying SEND & SEMH needs (ASD, S&L, Anxiety etc)
  • Hold 1:1 or group mentoring sessions inside and outside of the classroom
  • £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
  • ASAP Start - Full-time position
  • Based within Islington
  • Fantastic onsite Therapists, Psychologists, SENCO and Teachers to work alongside
  • Brilliant location - Accessible via public transport links
  • Modern school with brilliant facilities (Sensory rooms etc)

Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer, the ideal applicant;

  • Relevant degree from a reputable university
  • A passion and drive for mental health and wellbeing
  • Previous experience working alongside young people to positively impact their lives
  • Experience with SEND & SEMH in some capacity is desirable but not essential
