About the Role
Join a brand-new start-up with an excellent reputation and exciting growth opportunities! We are seeking a passionate Registered Manager to lead our three-bed children’s home in Sheffield.
With a Responsible Individual (RI) and Head of Service who both bring a wealth of experience in children’s residential care, you will receive exceptional support and guidance throughout your own professional development as the Registered Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader to shape and grow a high-quality service dedicated to improving young lives.
Additionally, this role offers a growth opportunity for dual registration, making it ideal for those looking to advance in leadership within children’s residential services.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Lead and manage a team of residential care workers, creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
- Develop and oversee care plans, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and support for young people.
- Manage resources, budgets, and operational policies to maintain an efficient and effective service.
- Work closely with external agencies, including social services, education providers, and health professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement, ensuring the home delivers exceptional outcomes for children and young people.
- Recruit, train, and support staff, fostering a positive team culture.
- Work alongside the RI and Head of Service, leveraging their expertise for your own growth and development.
- Support and develop the growth strategy for potential dual registration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with at least one year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and child development.
- Proven ability to lead, develop a service, and drive growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
