Job Title: Extrusion Operator
Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour + 22% & 5% shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts

* Week 1: Monday - Wednesday, 06:00 AM - 18:00 PM; Thursday, 06:00 AM - 12:00 PM

* Week 2: Monday - Wednesday, 18:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Location: West Bromwich

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Extrusion Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility in West Bromwich. The successful candidate will operate extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic or metal products in line with production schedules and quality standards.

This is a rotating shift role offering excellent long-term potential, a structured working pattern, and generous shift allowances.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and monitor extrusion machines and related equipment

* Set up tooling, dies, and materials for production runs

* Maintain consistent product quality by adjusting machine settings as required

* Carry out regular quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications

* Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine faults or production issues

* Accurately complete production and quality documentation

* Follow health & safety policies and wear appropriate PPE

* Keep work area clean, organised, and safe at all times

* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth shift handovers

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and report any process inefficiencies

Skills and Experience Required:

* Previous experience operating extrusion machines or working in a similar manufacturing environment

* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust machine settings and perform basic maintenance

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

* Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights

* Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Understanding of health & safety and quality control procedures

Desirable Qualifications (not essential):

* NVQ or similar qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Operations

* Forklift or overhead crane license
