Job Title: Freelance Site Manager (Civils)

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee and deliver a key project based in Corby. This 20-week contract is ideal for a proactive and hands-on professional with a strong background in civil engineering, earthworks, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management
Oversee quality control and ensure works meet required standards and specifications
Maintain accurate site records, including RAMS, permits, and daily logs
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required
Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils, earthworks, and remediation projects
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice
SMSTS certification (essential)
First Aid at Work (preferred)
CSCS card (Black or equivalent)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
