This forward-thinking engineering practice is expanding its Commercial team and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join them in London.You'll be working on a diverse portfolio of complex projects across commercial offices, high-end residential, and premium hotel developments -with the opportunity to influence design, lead packages of work, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary specialists.Your new roleIn this role, you will:

• Lead mechanical design delivery across commercial, residential and hotel schemes
• Develop design concepts, calculations, specifications and reports
• Coordinate with electrical, sustainability, BIM and architectural teams
• Attend client meetings and design workshops, representing the mechanical discipline
• Support junior team members and contribute to QA and technical standards
• Work across Stages 2-4, with exposure to full project lifecycle

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong background in mechanical building services design
• Experience within at least one of: commercial offices, large residential schemes, or hotels
• Good working knowledge of UK regs, CIBSE guidelines and industry standards
• Proficiency in design software such as Hevacomp/IES; Revit experience beneficial
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal teams
• Working toward chartership or already chartered is desirable
