Our client is a leading provider of Home and Garden products to the retail sector. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse professional as they look to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader at their site in Leeds on a Monday to Thursday basis (1730hrs - 04000hrs).
This is a hands-on role, where you’ll lead a team of operatives, to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly, orders are picked accurately, and supplier deliveries are put away swiftly.
Key Accountabilities as Warehouse Team Leader:
- Lead a small team of colleagues (5) covering a variety of warehouse tasks
- Manage team performance and output
- Ensure all vehicles are correctly loaded and paperwork is completed accurately
- Organise replenishment of pick faces from supplier deliveries or overstock
- Ensure attention to detail when checking off goods and supplier paperwork
- Oversee the safe operation of various forklifts and pallet trucks
- Check accuracy on a small number of customer orders
- Promote safe working practices and take responsibility for all Health & Safety on shift
- Responsible for site security and keyholding overnight
The Ideal Person for the Warehouse Team Leader:
- Must have team leadership experience in a warehouse environment
- Qualifications for Flexi / Pivot FLT or Counterbalance FLT desirable
- Experience with PPT operations preferred
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Health & Safety conscious and proactive approach to tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic, to get the best from your team
