In this crucial Financial Controller role, you will spearhead all financial activities for our high-performing UK manufacturing and production division. Partnering closely with senior management, you will provide strategic financial guidance, rigorous analysis and ensure robust governance across our operations.

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive annual operating budget process in collaboration with cross-functional leaders
  • Own all financial reporting including P&L, balance sheets, cashflow forecasting
  • Conduct variance analysis, identify trends and advise on corrective actions
  • Oversee supplier payments, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory compliance
  • Manage tax planning, R&D claims and ensure adherence to regulations
  • Support M&A activities by providing financial modeling and business case analysis
  • Review payroll, commissions, remuneration policies and employee compensation
  • Lead financial consolidations, ensuring accuracy of internal/external reporting
  • Optimize financial processes/controls and implement best practice improvements
  • Build and mentor a high-caliber finance team aligned with business objectives

Required Skills & Experience:

  • QBE or Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Manufacturing, engineering or a product focused company experience is essential
  • Proven track record as a Finance Manager/Controller in group entity
  • Advanced Excel/ERP system capabilities (SAP, Oracle etc.) and data analytics
  • Exceptional P&L management and business partnering skills
  • In-depth knowledge of UK/international accounting standards and tax legislation
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Driven, hands-on leader with gravitas to influence at all levels
