A highly reputable and expanding SEN/SEMH school group is seeking dedicated and passionate Tutors to join their newly established school in Leicester, opening in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

The successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering tailored academic and therapeutic support, helping students re-engage with learning and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised 1:1 and small group tutoring to students with SEN/SEMH needs across a variety of subjects (primarily English, Maths, and Science).
Develop and implement engaging, accessible learning plans based on individual EHCPs and learning levels.
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support emotional regulation and personal development.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to track progress and adapt interventions as needed.
Promote a calm, consistent and inclusive learning atmosphere aligned with the school's ethos and behaviour policies.
Requirements:

Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs, ideally in an educational or therapeutic setting.
A strong academic background and the ability to confidently deliver subject content up to at least Key Stage 3 (KS4 desirable).
A calm, resilient and empathetic approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly, independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and commitment to promoting the welfare of all learners.
Teaching or tutoring qualification is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
