About the Role
A well-established West-based construction company is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, successful business managing multiple contracts across the region.

As part of a team of two Buyers, you will report directly to the Commercial Manager. The company offers a structured internal training programme to ensure smooth continuity during any onboarding period.

What You'll Do

Source and negotiate competitive prices for materials and services

Place and manage purchase orders to meet project timelines

Collaborate with site teams, Quantity Surveyors, and suppliers

Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues

Review invoices and follow up on any discrepancies or credits

Support tender processes by issuing enquiries and analysing quotes

Manage procurement administration including PPE, mobile contracts, and supplies

Contribute to sustainability reporting and ensure environmental standards are met

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within construction

Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills

Commercially aware with good attention to detail

Confident using Microsoft Office and procurement systems

Self-motivated, proactive, and professional
