cer Financial are working alongside a top 50 accounting firm. They are seeking an Audit Senior Assistant Manager to work with them on a permanent basis at their Milton Keynes office

The responsibilities of the candidate will include:

• Split role: 80% audits, 20% accounts
• Plan, supervise, and execute audits (turnovers up to £250m), including specialist sectors (FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities, schools), meeting deadlines and budgets
• Support and guide junior staff on technical accounting and audit issues
• Prepare draft corporation tax computations, statutory and consolidated accounts (FRS102)
• Draft management recommendations post-audit
• Prepare group reporting responses as component auditor
• Handle larger accounts for audit-exempt companies, partnerships, and LLPs

The candidate will need experience in:

• Proficiency with Proaudit, CCH Accounts Production (AP), Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Alphatax, and Microsoft Office desirable; laptop provided
• ACA or ACCA qualified (degree not essential) or qualified to sit (Advanced Level or equivalent)
• Minimum 2.5 years’ audit experience in a practice of similar size to Mercer & Hole or larger, with consistent audit exposure
