HOURS OF WORK: 15:30 - 00:00 (Monday - Thursday) 11:30 - 20:00 (Friday)

BASIC SALARY: £15.92 per hour

We work with an industry-leading company based in Wellingborough, renowned for their commitment to quality and excellence. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Assembler to join their dynamic team.

Your responsibilities as an Assembler:

* Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and in compliance to the business and customer specifications.

* Complete all Assembly work in compliance to approved, methods and procedures.

* Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards

* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including production job cards, systems updating and inspection reports.

* Collaborate with production engineers, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve technical issues

* Work in accordance with all Health & Safety and policies as set out by the company.

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and quality

* Assist Production Engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation.

* Maintain all assembly equipment / hand tools in good working condition and report any failures or issues to the Production Engineering Department.

* Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained / improved through use of 5S methodology.

To be successful as an Assembler you will have:

* General interest in engineering, Assembly and factory production operations

* Good PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook

* Proven experience in assembly related work within high technology production / manufacturing company.

* Some formal training or, practical / theoretical knowledge of general engineering and / or assembling of electronic precision components.

* Excellent accuracy of work

* Good speed and consistency of assembling and related jobs

* Good interpersonal skills and team working

* Working to tight deadlines

* Experience reading manufacturing drawings / specifications or work instructions
