Overall responsibility for the Banquet Cook is to produce a constant high quality product with speed and confidence combined with at least 5 years of culinary experience in an upscale environment, resulting in excellent customer satisfaction.
Position duties may include any other tasks as deemed necessary by managers in order to fulfill the obligations of the club.
- Prepares meals within guidelines of menu(s), dietary requirements, and the standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
- Prepare a variety of foods according to instructions, following approved procedures.
- Distribute food to waiters and waitresses to serve
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station by proper care; cleaning and storage of equipment and utensils.
- CURRENTLY SERVSAFE CERTIFIED.
- Typical knowledge and skill knowledge of HACCP, knowledge of food equipment safety. Inspects the facility, the equipment and machinery in compliance with safety, health and sanitation regulations.
- Knowledge of how to maintain a clean kitchen, proper storage of food items and adherence to HACCP policies and procedures.
- Five years as an experienced cook in grill and sauté stations combined.
- Demonstrated diversified culinary skill, techniques and training.
- Ability to read ticket orders with modifications and comprehend recipes; compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to function as team player.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast pace environment.
- Experience in pantry stations is a plus.
