A welcoming SEN and SEMH School in Bristol is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN HLTA to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, supporting pupils with special educational needs in a school that places inclusion and pupil well-being at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

As a SEN HLTA, you will:

Deliver engaging pre-planned lessons and interventions across subjects and key stages, with guidance from teaching staff and the SENCO.
Provide targeted support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays, and SEMH.
Support the planning and delivery of IEPs, behaviour plans, and EHCP targets.
Encourage independence, engagement, and progress in and out of the classroom.
Mentor and support other teaching assistants where needed.
Take part in reviews and meetings, working closely with parents, professionals, and the wider pastoral team.Requirements

To be considered, you will need to:

Hold HLTA status (via a recognised UK HLTA programme) OR an equivalent Level 4+ qualification in education or child development.
Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
Bring proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in UK schools.
Have up-to-date knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (2015), EHCP processes, and safeguarding in education.
Understand UK educational frameworks and curriculum expectations.About You
